Twitter Password Hack Twitter has been hacked. In a breach that has been going on since 2009, accounts have been compromised by hackers to spread the “illegitimate follow request” scam. This is a scam in which people receive an email from a fake account about someone else following them and requesting for them to return the favor. If you receive one of these emails, it means your password was likely not secure enough and someone could have gained access to your account. We recommend changing your password immediately so you don't get scammed in this fashion.
